Pools on the Blackland Prairie
Pflugerville sits east of the Balcones fault line, on the Blackland Prairie. Instead of rock, most yards have deep, dark clay.
Clay is easier to dig than limestone, but it moves. It swells when it rains and shrinks in a dry summer. A pool and deck here are planned for that movement, and for where rainwater goes, because the land is fairly flat and water is slow to run off.
Pflugerville is one of the towns where we have done the most work. We design and build new pools and spas there and remodel existing ones. Our shop is in Georgetown, a short drive north.
